Connecticut Spring & Stamping Hosts Vodcast on Firearms Capabilities

Steve Dicke discusses precision firearms components

Farmington, CT - Connecticut Spring & Stamping (CSS), a manufacturer of precision parts for the medical, aerospace, firearms and defense industries worldwide, announces its latest vodcast, an overview of the firm's technical expertise in the firearms industry, including high-speed progressive die stamping and short-run die stamping. The vodcast, which features detailed images of many of CSS' firearms components, can be found on CSS' YouTube channel.

The CSS firearms capabilities vodcast showcases the firm's prototyping and new product development services, which reduces cost early in the development process and continues through the production of the parts, giving customers long term functionality and manufacturability when in high-volume productions.

CSS manufactures such critical parts as slide-stop assemblies, interceptor latches, magazine tube assemblies, saddle rings, speed latches, action bars, sights, and receiver end plates, as well as nearly all of the stampings and all of the springs for the AR-15/M16 rifle platform. They are also able to produce reduced cost parts at fine blank requirements by replicating the die conditions with no edge break and running them at high speeds.

"I'm pleased to highlight CSS's expertise in developing and manufacturing firearms components. We have a federal firearms license (FFL), and our hands-on design team frequently works closely with our customer to design parts that are within a tight tolerance and yet very manufacturable and consistent in the long run," said Steve Dicke, vice president of sales and marketing at CSS.
